Senior Occupational Health Nurse Advisor-Northampton
Full time or 4 days per week

We are looking for an experienced Senior Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our Occupational Health team. Reporting to the Head of Occupational Health, you will provide clinical leadership, manage a complex caseload, support service development, and line manage Occupational Health Nurse Advisers and an Occupational Health Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex occupational health cases and provide expert advice on fitness for work, rehabilitation, workplace adjustments, and sickness absence.
• Support managers, HR, and employees with health and wellbeing matters.
• Lead health surveillance programmes and advise on occupational health risks.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits, policy development, and service improvements.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, confidentiality requirements, and relevant legislation.
• Mentor and support the development of junior team members.

About You

You will be a Registered General Nurse, registered on Part 3 of the NMC Register, with a recognised Occupational Health qualification and at least five years’ experience in Occupational Health, including experience in a senior advisory role. You will have strong communication skills, experience managing complex cases, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Experience within emergency services, health surveillance, fitness-for-task medicals, and delivering wellbeing initiatives is desirable.
